Safeguarding Children Training | Online E-learning

Keep children safe by recognising and responding to abuse

Children suffer harm from abuse each year. This Safeguarding Children Training e-learning will provide an awareness of your responsibilities to recognise and respond to cases of maltreatment.

Everyone who has contact with children or parents needs to be aware of their responsibilities for safeguarding. As a healthcare worker, it is essential that you can approach the issue with sensitivity, but act with decisiveness if abuse or maltreatment is suspected.

This interactive e-learning will teach you how to prevent abuse through effective care for children, and recognise the signs of cruelty – whether physical, emotional, sexual, or through neglect. You will then learn how to act on any suspicions in a professional and effective way.

Learning also covers the current legislation which all healthcare workers must be aware of and comply with, as well as the different types of support that are available.

What will I learn?

By the end of this Safeguarding Children Training e-learning, you will be able to:

  • Describe what is meant by child abuse
  • Recognise signs of abuse

  • Explain your role and responsibilities
  • Outline the rights of children
