Charity Walk for Sepsis 2019

Thank you for joining or supporting our charity walk to help fight sepsis.

The Charity Walk

On Saturday the escalla team braced the weather, the brambles and the nettles to complete a 26 mile marathon walk for the UK Sepsis Trust.

The walk took in the wilderness of Surrey, following the Greensands Way and ending up at Leith hill, the highest point in the South West England.

In total the team raised just over £2,000 for the UK Sepsis Trust. A fantastic achievement for a very worthy cause.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated and to our corporate sponsors for their support! PremierITltd, Boldon James, Mutual Vision, Veritas, Project Recruit & Prism UK.

“I witnessed first-hand the huge impact sepsis has on thousands of individuals and their families throughout the UK during my time as Health Secretary. I’m very happy to lend my support for this fundraising campaign to raise money for the UK Sepsis Trust and I would like to congratulate all those involved in the campaign for their achievements to date.”

The Cause

This charity walk was in support The UK Sepsis Trust – an amazing charity working to save lives and improve outcomes for sepsis sufferers.

Everyone who joined or donated to Walk for Sepsis 2019 helped to be part of their work to promote awareness, drive political change and support the people affected by the condition.

We walked because:
44,000 PEOPLE in the UK lose their lives to sepsis every year.
EVERY 3.5 SECONDS someone in the world dies from sepsis.
It’s the BIGGEST direct cause of death in UK pregnancies.

Thank you so much to everyone involved in organising and supporting this event.
