FastTrack Elements:
The FastTrack programme consists of:
- Advertising
- CV sifting
- Telephone interviewing
- Assessment Day
- Legislative or systems training
- Conflict management or soft skills training
- Eligibility checks
- Referencing
- DBS checks
- Psychometric testing
- Further Induction training (optional)
Advertising (flexible - escalla or client led) Job adverts are produced and signed off by the client, before being posted on external advertising sites. Ad responses are received via a central escalla managed mailbox, monitored during work and evening hours.
CV Sifting (flexible - escalla or client led) Applicant CVs are reviewed against agreed criteria. We would expect to receive in excess of 175 applicants for each FastTrack; escalla ensure every CV we receive is reviewed. Successful CV applicants are then put forward for telephone interview.
Telephone Interviewing (escalla led) Telephone interviewing is conducted over a two to three-week period, as applications are submitted. Our interviewers are fully skilled in measuring and scoring candidates against the same criteria. Interviews are conducted by a team of at least 4 people per day. Evening and weekend interviews are also conducted by at least one member of our team. Successful candidates at this stage are then invited to the Assessment Day.
Assessment Day (escalla led) On average, 100 candidates are invited to attend the Assessment Day, conducted on the client’s premises. The day consists of numeracy/literacy tests, group activities and interviews – scored against specific criteria.
Legislative or Systems Training (optional – delivered by escalla) Successful candidates from the Assessment Day can be invited to undertake legislative or systems training, such as Housing Benefit, Council Tax, debt recovery, Business Rates etc. Training ends with a test, and scores/feedback is provided to the client.
Conflict Management or Soft Skills Training (optional – delivered by escalla) Soft skills and Conflict management training can also be provided to successful candidates, to fully prepare them for the role. The candidates are measured during the training and feedback is provided to the client.
Eligibility Checks (flexible - escalla or client led) Checks are undertaken during the Assessment Day to ensure all candidates are permitted to work in the UK.
Referencing (escalla or client led) A stringent referencing exercise is undertaken for each successful candidate according to the client’s referencing policy.
DBS Checks (optional - escalla or client led) All successful candidates undertake a DBS check if required by the role, and the certificates are provided to the client.
Psychometric Testing (optional – escalla led) Successful candidates can undertake an online psychometric test. The results of this are collated and shared with the client.
Final Interviews (client led) The final successful candidates attend interviews with the client. Typically, clients interview 25%-50% more candidates than are required. Final successful candidates are then offered roles with the organisation (pending satisfactory references and DBS checks where required).
