High Performance Teams Overview

Our business skills courses are available for organisations to book for their teams. Learning is delivered live online by a qualified instructor in small groups of no more than 12 delegates per course.

This course focuses on enabling managers to see their teams from different perspectives, allowing them to adapt their styles to maximise team outputs.  A core theme is the need for managers of teams to ‘hold up the mirror’ to themselves and to see themselves as a leader of people, to reflect on how others see them and to modify their style accordingly.

Personal experiences of successful and less successful teams are shared in order to help develop workable personal action plans for improved team performance. The focus throughout the course is on creating awareness of team dynamics, developing attitudes and beliefs and embedding newly acquired skills and behaviours as habits.

Pre-Requisites

This course is suitable for middle and senior managers and will look at how they can develop a high performing team and learn that this takes time and effort from all involved.  The course will also demonstrate that it requires an understanding of the dynamics of a high performing team and allows delegates to understand what high performing teams do and how they do it.

Topics

Delegates will be able to analyse the constituents of a ‘high performing’ team and where required, they will be able to apply essential influencing techniques. They will be able to use a range of communication techniques to support effective teamwork.

It will be essential for delegates to be able to create and articulate a team vision together with common values.

We will provide delegates with the tools to assess team effectiveness and take/recommend the appropriate actions. The course will also address issues such as time management and making more efficient and effective use of time.

Delegates will also be able to define and implement team meeting protocols that will facilitate team effectiveness and they will also learn to draft a team strategy to take them and their team to the next level.
