How to Use OneDrive for Beginners: Office 365

This How to Use OneDrive Live Online training is designed to give you an introduction to accessing, viewing and managing files that are stored in OneDrive for Business.

You will learn how to upload and sync files, as well as open and edit files in the online applications.  You will also discover how to use OneDrive online sharing features to share and collaborate with colleagues.

Find out how to sort and filter files, how to create new folders and how to move files into folders.

How to manage your files
Learn how to rename, copy and delete files in OneDrive for Business.

How to use search
Discover how to search your OneDrive for Business using keywords to quickly locate files.

How to view file details
Learn how to access file properties, view version history and preview a file before opening it.

How to open and edit files
Learn how to open files from OneDrive for Business, add comments and edit in the office online applications. You will also discover how to create new files in the online application and save back to your OneDrive account.

How to share files
Discover how to share a file in OneDrive for Business with colleagues, assigning permissions and notifying them that the file has been shared.

Requirements

A basic knowledge of how to use OneDrive, or other Office 365 applications, would be beneficial but is not essential.

What Are Live-Online Sessions?

Live Online gives you all the benefits of classroom training, but from the comfort of your home or office. Sessions take place on a shared online screen, where your friendly trainer will guide you and your class through the learning topic.

These interactive sessions also give you the opportunity to practice what you’ve learnt, as you take control and demonstrate your new skills to your trainer. Two-way text or voice chat is always available, for when you want to discuss a topic, need help, or want to ask any questions.
