Claire is our Apprenticeships director. She’s been involved in vocational training for 21 years, and has become known for her excellent client management skills, and a strong reputation for delivering.
Before joining escalla, Claire worked for some large work-based learning providers, as well as successfully running her own apprenticeship programme. She has a very strong focus on quality and ensuring our apprentices’ learning experience is always of an exceptional standard.
When Claire isn’t running our team, she enjoys cooking and going on long walks with her dog.
Joe is escalla’s business manager, and is dedicated to creating opportunities for young people. He works closely with businesses to discover their recruitment needs, and then supports them through the process of recruiting an apprentice. Joe has over 30 years of experience in customer service and sales, and has been with escalla since 2012.
Joe’s also kept busy by his passion for golf and cars. He even treats his car to a set of special polishes and waxes – as well as daily dust inspections – to keep it pristine.
Helen is our placement officer and has been working with young people and organising apprenticeships, work experience and employability events for nearly 20 years. Before escalla, she worked with local and national training providers, schools and colleges, as well as working closely with school careers advisors.
Helen is passionate about apprenticeships and dedicated to delivering a high quality experience for young people and employers.
‘My family is the centre of my life, and I enjoy spending time with my sons and my young daughter. I’m also a qualified reflexologist, so my friends and family enjoy the occasional treatment. I also enjoy reading when I have the time – mostly biographies and crime novels.’
Emma is our academy coordinator and has over 17 years of experience in education: teaching IT, art, technology and work-related learning in the primary, secondary and post-16 sectors. She joined escalla 18 months ago after looking for a new and exciting challenge, and becoming a mother to a young family.
Emma has bought with her a wide range of transferable knowledge and skills; and she’s currently in charge of training our digital marketing apprentices, and coordinating all training and assessment in our academy.
She is creative and organised, and determined to ensure that all of our apprentices enjoy their journey and achieve fantastic things! In her spare time, Emma enjoys all aspects of social media and making special memories with her family.
Maureen is our special projects manager and has worked within the educational training sector for 25 years. Maureen is responsible for analysing various projects linked to the continuous improvement of our training delivery.
Maureen is addicted to Center Parcs and spends most of her non-working life in a tree!
Chester has been an avid developer being self-taught from a young age making websites, applications, and games. He began his professional journey in industry as a Non-Functional Engineer and Performance Tester but eventually found a passion in teaching and training others after mentoring a young candidate to develop Minecraft plugins.
He’s also been a technical trainer since 2018 and has developed and delivered many successful courses including Full Stack Web Applications in multiple frameworks, Automated Testing including the ISTQB, and Robotic Process Automation.
Chester spends his free time learning new up and coming technologies, developing personal projects, making web and video tutorials for various things, and of course, spending time with his family!
Nicola joined the team in June 2019 after working in administration for the last 11 years for local apprenticeship training providers. She has a wide range of knowledge of the apprenticeship sector and possesses excellent IT and communications skills. In her spare time she enjoys taking her daughter to the park and soft play centres and is a self-confessed junk food addict!
Prior to joining escalla, Lindsay’s work life had been dedicated to the education and apprentice sector for over 20 years.
His first job was as an apprentice in the shipbuilding industry, which took him 4 long years to qualify!
In his spare time Lindsay is a volunteer for various organisations including, Skipper of 2 narrowboats for the Wirral Community Narrowboat Trust and Ambassador Steward, along with his partner, at the Floral Pavilion in New Brighton.
