You will support our brilliant clients on the Helpdesk, providing helpdesk support and facilitating effective communications for internal and external clients. Working on the support desk as part of the Support Team, you will be confronted with client and internally reported issues that will encompass one or more of the following tasks:
Supporting clients on the Helpdesk by analysing system problems and selecting the most appropriate solution to the fault or escalating to a higher-level where necessary
Giving feedback on problems and issues
Supporting Software Developers with relevant information (There is the potential to contribute to the testing team)
Monitoring, testing and reacting to network performance
Documenting completed tasks in accordance with agreed organisational procedures
Undertaking hardware or software upgrades
Installing and working with a variety of digital communications mediums as appropriate to the organisation
You will work primarily with the Support Team but will also be part of the larger Delivery Team that incorporates the full software delivery cycle. Opportunities to learn from the Development, Testing and Design teams will also be available throughout the apprenticeship.
An analytical approach to problem solving, fault finding, and resolution are some of the many skills that you will learn and acquire during the duration of the apprenticeship. You will also learn how software is designed, developed, tested, and released alongside supporting our current suite of applications. Understanding how web browser, operating systems and the internet works will also form part of the training.
Additional training is available in the form of workshops and one-to-one sessions, providing an opportunity to display your understanding of the various aspects of the Internet / TCP /IP / Networks. As we are working remotely this will be dependent on the hardware available.
Your training will enable you to flourish in the support role and be valuable to the company in terms of giving us reliable feedback that ensures we shape our systems to meet evolving user needs.

Desired qualifications: Strictly GCSE grade C/4 or above in maths and English (or equivalent)
